Who can go on our zipline tours?
01
Our tour is designed for use by anyone who is over the age of eight (8+). You must be sixteen years old (16) or older to zip alone. The zipline can carry passengers up to two hundred and seventy-five pounds.
I want to go on a zipline tour but I’m afraid of heights. Should I do it?
02
Many people have a fear of heights, but they’re still able to enjoy going on a zipline adventure! You must remember that you will be clipped (double) to a steel cable that is over a half inch thick. Our guides are trained to be with you throughout your entire adventure and to provide any amount of support that you need. You will have two guides with you on each line, and when you are not riding the zip line you are always attached by a safety line to the towers and bridges. At your highest point, you will be 65 feet off the ground, but the average is 35 feet.
How long is a zipline adventure?
04
If you’re taking a tour, you will spend around 2.5 hours on the tour. It takes about 20 minutes to complete orientation and training. The canopy tour tends to take around 2 to 2.5 hours to complete. You will get to ride all 7 ziplines that range from 450 to 2,000 feet long.
Should I wear anything special?
05
When you’re planning to go on a zipline adventure, the first thing that you need to do is to make sure that you are wearing comfortable clothing. We recommend dressing in layers based on the weather. Skirts are not permitted unless you are wearing shorts or pants underneath, and anything that is loose, like scarves or jewelry, should be removed. Close-toed shoes are required, and long hair should be tied back. You should take everything out of your pockets, including cell phones, so that they do not end up hopelessly lost on the floor of the forest.
What if it's raining or cold?
06
You can go down a zipline in the rain, but not if there is any lightning. We try to make sure that we contact everyone who is booked for a ziplining adventure in the event of a storm. If your adventure is canceled due to inclement weather, you can opt to reschedule and rain checks will be issued in lieu of a refund. Please know that the temperature can drop when you’re going on a zipline during the winter months, so make sure that you dress appropriately. Thick socks, a warm jacket that can zip up, a warm winter hat, thermal underwear, and even a face mask can be helpful if you’re going to be on a ziplining adventure in the winter months.
Should I tip my guide?
07
That is totally up to you, but it is common industry practice to give a tip to your guide. If they have provided you with the experience that you were hoping for, it is normal for a guide to receive a 15-20% tip per person.
Do I need to make a reservation?
08
Reservations are not required but are highly recommended. If we are not busy and you choose to walk in without a reservation, we can usually get you right in. However, during our busiest times, walk in wait times could be as much as two hours. Therefore, it’s always a good idea to make a quick phone call and reserve a spot for your group.
How many people can go together?
09
We can have up to seven people per tour. If your group consists of less than seven people, you will likely be paired up with another small group.
Do I have to wear any special equipment?
10
Your guide will fit you securely into a seat harness. You’ll also be given a helmet, gloves, a trolley system, which is what moves you along the cables, and three lanyards that have safety clips on them.
We’ve got a large group coming, do you offer group rates?
11
Yes, we do offer group rates. If you are interested in knowing more about saving the most money for your group, please contact us at 417-239-3030 or visit our group page. These bookings must be arranged in advance and will not be honored on a same day or walk-in basis.
I have a special occasion! Can we celebrate it?
12
Absolutely! If you let us know ahead of time about the special occasion, we will make sure that we honor it for you.
What do I do if I'm running late to my tour?
13
Due to our strict scheduling and out of respect for other guests that arrive on time, we do not delay our tours for guests that arrive late. All ticket sales are for the date and time they are purchased for. We do not refund, credit, or reschedule anyone that is more than 10 minutes late for their tour time. Thank you for understanding.
